Stanford’s Healthy Aging Projects (SHAP) seek family caregivers for health support program. SHAP is looking for English-speaking participants who are: caring in their home for a friend or family member; in general good health; over 50; not getting regular exercise; have a high-fat diet; live within commuting distance of Stanford; and are willing to receive telephone support. The UCLA Alzheimer Disease Center seeks family caregivers of persons with dementia to help in the development of an instrument measuring caregiver quality of life. Participation includes two or three telephone interviews (20-40 minutes each) covering demands of caregiving. Must be >18 years old,  live in Southern California, and speak English or Spanish. Participants receive $10 per interview. Call Michele at (877) 715-9791 to schedule a time convenient to you.

El Centro de Alzheimer de UCLA busca cuidaradores de familiares con demencia para ayudarnos desarollar un instrumento que mide la calidad de la vida de los cuidadores. La participación incluye dos o tres entrevistas (de 20-40 minutos) sobre las demandas del proveer del cuidado. Los participantes necesitan tener 18 de edad o más, vivir en el sur de California y hablar inglés o español. Recibirán $10 por entrevista. The San Francisco Clinical Research Center and San Francisco Alzheimer’s and Dementia Clinic are seeking patients for current clinical research studies. We are now enrolling patients with Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, Mild Memory Loss, Stroke with Memory Loss, and Parkinson’s disease. Investigational study-related medication and compensation will be provided. Call (415) 673-4600 to see if you are eligible to participate.

Are you caring for a loved one with dementia? A University of California, San Francisco Study is examining effects of caregiving on mind and body. Seeking healthy women, 50 to 65 years old, caring for their husbands with dementia. Participants are compensated up to $460.
