The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and George Washington School of Public Health are conducting a study with family caregivers about their experiences. If you are female, between ages 31-80, and provide care for an adult with cancer, OR you provided end-of-life care within the last year, please call (888) 249-0029 (Monday-Friday).

The San Francisco Clinical Research Center is seeking volunteers for studies of new treatments for all stages of Alzheimer’s. We also conduct studies for Parkinson’s disease, diabetic neuropathy, insomnia, and migraine headache treatments. Participants will be compensated for time and travel expenses. Handle memory loss before it gets a grip on your family. California Clinical Trials has studies in Southern California: (1) 50-80 years old; not on any memory loss medications. Compensation: $4890. (2) 60+ years; compensation: $500. (3) 55+ years; compensation: $2480. You must qualify to receive compensation. Call (888) CC-TRIAL (228-7425.

Towson University is conducting a study to look at adults’ early caregiving experiences, their current health, and current social support. Respondents must have provided primary caregiving assistance (i.e., bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.) to at least one parent or adult relative when the caregiver is under 19 years old. If you qualify, contact Kim Shifren, Ph.D. at (410) 704-6239 or email kshifren@towson.edu. There is no monetary compensation for participation.

Women’s Wellness at Stanford University is conducting a study of postmenopausal women currently taking hormone therapy and who have a family history of Alzheimer’s disease or the APOE4 allele. Participants are paid for their time and undergo brain imaging and neuropsychological evaluation. Please call Toni (650) 724-9269 for more information.

Grief Support: Oregon Center for Applied Science is conducting a study to gather feedback for a new program to help individuals experiencing grief over the loss of a loved one. Participants offer feedback on two online surveys. Everything is done from home, and participants will receive $120. Visit http://study-GriefSupport.CaringSkills.com.
