Family Caregiver Alliance Events
SAN FRANCISCO—Family Caregiver Alliance is pleased to honor Older Americans Month in May with a wide variety of workshops and activities designed to offer families the tools they need to care for loved ones with chronic or debilitating illnesses such as Alzheimer?s disease and stroke. FCA’s events, held throughout the Bay Area, are all free or low-cost.

- Content: A free-one day retreat designed for family caregivers. The day will include discussions about the emotional journey of caring for someone with a chronic illness, caregiver self-care, meditation and movement, journaling and capturing life stories. Presenters include author Beatrice Bailey, FCA?s Donna Schempp and Judith Pruess-Mellow.

Whether you are currently thinking about a move or just need to know more, this free workshop will help you to learn about options for long-term care and understand how your beliefs and feelings about moving your family member can impact your decision.
