FY2009 Omnibus Appropriations (2009)

Federal bill includes funding for Older Americans Act programs. The bill includes $154.2 million for the National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP) for FY 2009, a modest increase of $781,000 over FY 2008 but still lower than the $156.2 million funding level for FY 2007. The bill also includes $2.5 million for the Lifespan Respite Care Act; $214.5 million for home-delivered meals; and $41.7 million for Aging Network Support, including Choices for Independence programs. Total funding for the Administration on Aging is $1.49 billion, a $77.9 million increase from FY 2008.
