The Strains and Drains of Long-Term Care (2008)

This report examines the financial, physical and emotional costs of providing long-term care and highlights family caregivers' struggle to balance caregiving and the other parts of their lives. Johnson argues that "policymakers should encourage Americans to prepare for their own long-term care needs or create a larger role for government financing."
