Family and Medical Leave Enhancement Act (2011)

Bill would make changes to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. Employers with more than 25 employees would now have to comply with the law. Employees could also take leave under FMLA for school events for their children or grandchildren or for routine medical appointments for children/grandchildren. Employees may also use leave to visit elderly individuals who are related to the employee, including visits to nursing homes.
