NY- Caregiver's Assistance Act (2011)

This bill establishes a personal income tax credit equal to 20% of qualified care expenses on a qualifying senior family member, up to $2,400 per taxable year. Bill also authorizes an exemption on a pro-rated basis for property owners where a senior residing with a taxpayer would otherwise meet the eligibility requirements (except for ownership requirements).
