CA- Domestic Worker Requirements (2011)

This bill would regulate the wages, hours, and working conditions of domestic work employees, including those who serve as caregivers (excluding IHSS employees). This bill would require employers to secure the payment of workers' compensation for injuries that arise in the course of employment. Employers would need to provide an overtime compensation rate and paid vacation for domestic workers. Employers would also have to provide information to employees about their wages either semi-monthly or at the time of each wage payment.
