1. What are the Technical Assistance Centers?
The TA Centers is the result of the partnership of two leading organizations in family caregiver support, Family Caregiver Alliance and ARCH National Respite Network and Resource Center. Under a three-year cooperative agreement with the US Administration on Aging, the Technical Assistance Centers will deliberate what is learned from the design and delivery of caregiver support and respite program development, translate this knowledge into practical tools needed by the Networks to keep pace with program and competency developments, and offer specialized technical assistance that matches program and training ideas to the Networks' capacities. The goals of this partnership are increased capacity, efficiency and effectiveness of caregiver and respite programs at state and local levels.
2. Who is the audience for this project?
The Technical Assistance Centers target the professionals of the Aging and the Lifespan Respite Networks. This audience comprises AAA and FCSP administrators, direct service providers, and the state respite coalitions.
3. How can I receive technical assistance?
For questions specific to Lifespan Respite programs please visit ARCH's website or call (703) 256-2084. For all other questions on caregiver program development send an email to TA mailbox at info@caregiver.org or call Family Caregiver Alliance at (415) 434-3388 or (800) 445-8106.
4. What tool is available to search the Clearinghouse?
Users can narrow their search of the Clearinghouse database by performing an advanced search.
5. How can professionals submit a program, an evidence based intervention, a multimedia resource or other publications for inclusion into the TA Center?
The Technical Assistance Center actively solicits information through the Submit Your Program feature.
6. What are some examples of how the Clearinghouse (and other FCA) resources can help resolve the most common caregiving challenges?
The tools and resources found by clicking the scenarios below may be used:

- to enhance your own knowledge or that of other helping professionals on family caregiving
The formats of these tools vary as they range from articles, to curricula to audio and visual files. We encourage you to search through the various subsections to identify the tool that accommodates your need and practice.
