The California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF) has unveiled a new long term care Web site called CalQualityCare.org. The site rates thousands of California?s long term care providers on a wide range of quality of care measures to help consumers and their families make important health care choices. The site, which is sponsored by CHCF in partnership with the University of California, San Francisco, rates the care provided by nursing homes, hospice programs, and home health agencies, as well as provides information on many other kinds of long term care. CalQualityCare.org features an easy-to-use "Long Term Care Assistant" tool that helps consumers choose among long term care options by posing ten simple questions.

CHCF wants to hear about your experiences using the new Web site and how it helped you make a long term care decision. If you?d like to share your story, please contact Alexandra Matisoff-Li at amatisoff@chcf.org.
