Special thanks go to FCA cofounder and supporter Suzanne Harris, who has made a generous contribution to FCA in honor of Kathy Kelly’s 10th year as Executive Director. “I wanted this year’s contribution to be a tribute to FCA’s extraordinary accomplishments,” Sue said. “I made my donation this way partly to encourage others to do the same—to recognize the exceptional leadership of Kathy and other staff members.”
Not only has Kathy been the Director for 10 years, she’s been with the agency longer than anyone else: she recently celebrated her 20th year on staff! Congratulations, Kathy!
On another note, FCA reluctantly bid farewell last month to Director of Programs and Administration Theresa Sullivan. Theresa, also a long-time FCA staffer, left to take a new position with Jewish Family and Children’s Services in San Francisco. In a gracious speech, Theresa said, “It has been such a gift to have the opportunity to work to support family caregivers. I have been so inspired by the depth of their devotion and commitment to caring, and by their strength and generosity in both providing and receiving support from one another. I am so grateful for the many life lessons I have learned from caregivers!” We will miss Theresa’s steady hand and calm, kind demeanor, but wish her much luck in her new position, and look forward to keeping in close touch.
