Consumer Consortium on Assisted Living (CCAL)

Online resource provides consumers with information, industry updates, research, and links to other assisted living resources as well as a message board to submit questions and concerns for personalized assistance.

Hospice Foundation of America

Provides information about end-of-life care. Its website includes a "Locate a Hospice" search which allows the user to search for  hospice and palliative care programs, and a "Caregiver's Corner" that offers publications and tips on caregiving for persons near the end-of-life.

National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC)

Online "Agency Locator"  helps consumers to find and choose a home care provider in their state and local area to match their specific needs. Database consists of NAHC members, more than 20,000 home care and hospice agencies.

This division of the American Health Care Association, a private company, offers an online resource that provides consumers with information on nursing homes, assisted living/residential care and other types of long term care.

Offers consumers, families and advocates resources and information on long-term care including; an overview of each state's nursing home system and licensing agencies, and a consumer's guide to choosing a nursing home.

National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization
