Archived State-by-State Legislation

Though many states continue to face economic challenges, we applaud those that are forging ahead and working towards creating real solutions that will make real differences in the lives of caregivers. In 2003, already 19 states have introduced legislation that would either explicitly or implicitly assist caregivers. In general, the legislation listed below does not include annual appropriations measures, unless significantly new funding or program development is included in the proposal.

Caregiving Legacy Award: 2011 Award Recipients

 

Four exceptional programs from Minnesota, Illinois, California and Ohio were this year's recipients of the Rosalinde Gilbert Innovations in Alzheimer's Disease Caregiving Legacy Awards. The programs were presented with an award of $20,000 at Aging in America, the Annual Conference of the American Society on Aging in Washington, DC on March 30, 2012.

Four exceptional programs from California, New York, North Carolina and Washington are this year's recipients of the Rosalinde Gilbert Innovations in Alzheimer's Disease Caregiving Legacy Awards. The programs are presented with an award of $20,000 each and will will participate in a breakout session at Aging in America, the Annual Conference of the American Society on Aging in San Francisco on April 28, 2011.
