Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA)
FCA support and assists families and caregivers through education, advocacy and services. In addition to providing training to technical assistance to California’s Caregiver Resource Centers, FCA hosts the National Center on Caregiving (NCC). Personal Preference Program
New Jersey’s Personal Preference Program (PPP) is a Medicaid program that provides financial assistance to assist seniors and people with disabilities. The program allows for the care recipient to choose the services they want, hire their own personal care provider (including relatives and friends), create their own schedule, and maintain control over their care plan. PPP may also covers costs for medical equipment and home modifications.

Personal Assistance Services Program (PASP)
The PASP provides routine, non-medical assistance to adults with disabilities who are employed, involved in community volunteer work, or attending school.
Personal assistants help with tasks such as: light house keeping, bathing, dressing, preparing meals, shopping, driving or using public transportation. The total number of hours a person can receive is determined based on individual need, up to a maximum of 40 hrs/week. A distinction between the PASP and other personal assistance programs in NJ is that the PASP requires self direction; meaning the individual with the disability must direct his/her own services.

Rewarding Work Resources, INC – New Jersey
Rewarding Work, a nonprofit company, provides a web-based resource to help older adults and people with disabilities hire personal care assistants (PCAs) and direct care workers. Also provides a free resource for workers who are interested to find jobs as PCAs. Rewarding Work presently operates in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Vermont.
