Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA)
FCA support and assists families and caregivers through education, advocacy and services. In addition to providing training to technical assistance to California’s Caregiver Resource Centers, FCA hosts the National Center on Caregiving (NCC). The NCC serves as a central source of information on caregiving and long-term care issues and works to advance policies and programs for caregivers in every state in the country.

Vermont Association of Area Agencies on Aging
The association of five non-profit Area Agencies on Aging respond to the needs and directions of older Vermonters and their families by offering information and assistance in many areas. The Area Agencies on Aging can share available options for caregiver support, health insurance counseling, transportation, senior nutrition programs including meals on wheels, adult day programs, home health services, housing alternatives, exercise and wellness programs and supports for Veterans to live independently in their own homes.

Dementia Care & Family Caregiver Support Program
Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) supports family caregivers through a number of activities including Dementia Respite Grants, the National Family Caregiver Program (NFCP) and support to Vermont Kin as Parents.
The Dementia Respite Grant and the NFCP programs are managed by Vermont’s five Area Agencies on Aging. These efforts help family caregivers by reducing stress, maintaining their health, and continuing their caregiving roles. Grants may be used to pay for a range of services including in-home care, respite care, homemaker services, and Adult Day services.

National Resource Center on Native American Aging (NRCNAA)
The NRCNAA serves the elderly Native American population of the U.S. The NRCAA assists in developing community-based solutions through education, training, and technical assistance to improve the quality of life and delivery of related support services to the Native aging population.

SAMHSA’s National Helpline
The Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Helpline, 1-800-662-HELP (4357) (also known as the Treatment Referral Routing Service), is a confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year, information service, in English and Spanish, for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders.
