Ambiguous Loss & Anticipatory Grief
Ambiguous loss and anticipatory grief are both types of grief that can occur when there is a sense of loss and uncertainty. These under-recognized types of grief often show up for caregivers while they are providing care, before a person dies. Grieving before a person dies can be confusing and difficult as it is ongoing.
