This conversation will “bring together experts to share the current role of the social care workforce in healthcare and discuss ways we can advance that role to provide better care for all of us as we age.”

Best Programs for Caregiving: Support for Diverse Caregiving Communities

“Best Programs for Caregiving (BPC) is a free, online registry for professionals and family and friend caregivers to find and compare approximately 45 unique evidence-based dementia caregiving support programs delivered by more than 200 healthcare and community organizations across the United States. This session will provide a live demonstration of the website, highlighting cultural adaptations made by organizations delivering a BPC program for diverse racial–, ethnic– and LGBTQ+–identified groups.”

Family Caregiver Services and Supports: Resources and Program Highlights

“In this session, USAging will highlight the work of the Caregiver Services and Supports initiative and new resources available through that effort. The session will feature two examples of collaborations to develop Caregiving Action Guides for Aging Network professionals: Generations United will showcase their work to provide comprehensive support to grandfamilies and other relative caregivers, and Family Caregiver Alliance will share best practices on how to support family caregivers in planning for long-term care needs.”
