Caregiver VOICE Survey Study

Do you support someone who is living with dementia? Do you sometimes feel alone and unheard? We desire to hear your VOICE and have your help by sharing your personal experiences to improve the quality of dementia care.

As a care partner or caregiver, you have a unique perspective and play a vital role in the care for the person with dementia. Your lived experiences and well-being are significant factors to consider when we explore improvements in dementia care.

Dr. Hillary Lum, associate professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at University of Colorado School of Medicine, knows what it’s like to be a caregiver for a parent living with dementia, including helping her father care for her mother as she lives with Alzheimer’s disease. And she knows what it’s like to have limited opportunities to give feedback on her mom’s dementia care.

Currently, Dr. Lum and her team are looking for caregiver perspectives regarding their experiences and satisfaction with the care the person living with dementia is receiving. Dr. Lum’s Caregiver VOICE Survey is funded by the Alzheimer’s Association and designed to measure current levels of care and then look for opportunities to suggest improvements.
