Inviting cancer caregivers to participate in a study about their communication experiences with medical providers

Do you currently provide support and care to a partner/spouse living with cancer?

Do you attend medical visits with this person?

Are you over 18 years of age?

If so, we invite you to join a two-part, research study about your communication experiences with providers (doctors and nurses). In Part 1 of the project, we will learn about your communication around partner intimacy, and confidence in communicating with providers, show you a module to support your caregiving efforts, and then ask you again about your confidence in communicating with providers. In Part 2 of the project, we will talk with you briefly over the phone about your confidence in communicating with providers.

The focus of the study centers around a brief (10-minute) module to support cancer caregivers in their preparedness for caregiving and communication with providers.

Information gathered from this study will help doctors, nurses, and researchers determine how we can better improve communication resources for caregivers.

In appreciation for your contribution of time to the study, you will be provided with one $20 e-gift card from Amazon for completing Part I of the study, and one $20 e-gift card from Amazon for completing Part II of the study. We will email these e-gift cards to you within 48 hours of your completion of each part of the study.

Email the Principal Investigator of this study to get involved at this address:(CaregiverStudy2023@memphis.edu) or text 832-646-0874.
