Program:

Asian Pacific Islander

Dementia Care Network

The Asian Pacific Islander (API) De-

mentia Care Network addresses gaps

in the community-based continuum of
care for Asian and Pacific Islanders by

expanding culturally and linguistically

competent services for caregivers

and building the capacity of commu-

nity-based partner agencies in Los

Angeles. The project addresses the
specific needs of API caregivers in Los

Angeles by building on community

strengths closing gaps in the service

continuum.

The brief respite that I received twice was great relief between my work and the demands of caring for

my husband. Especially now that his condition is deteriorating. Thank you ever so much. Please ex-

tend my sincere thanks to all the people behind this project too. They are commendable and God-sent.”

- Violeta Galang, Filipino Caregiver to husband with dementia.
