For over 40 years, CJE SeniorLife has been helping older adults pursue lives of meaning, independence

and good health through programs and services which complement one another, creating a constellation

of care. CJE provides 19,000 older adults and family members annually with services including indepen-
dent housing, assisted living, home delivered meals, transportation, long and short-term skilled nursing

care, adult day services, geriatric care management, health and wellness activities, support groups and

Program:

Culture Bus Inside & Out

One of only a handful of programs like

it in the country, Culture Bus offers older

adults with early Alzheimer’s disease

or other forms of early-state dementia

a unique opportunity for stimulation,

education and recreation through art,

drama, history, music, dance, architec-

ture and more.

Participants socialize with peers at weekly

programs and day trips to cultural sites

and events in the Chicago area. High-

lights include: docent-guided tours of

exhibits and venues, creative self-expres-

sion activities, healthy lunches, socializa-

tion throughout the day, and respite care

for caregivers.
